Lil Nas X Assures Fans Of Good Health After Treatment For Partial Face Paralysis

Rapper Lil Nas X has assured fans of his good condition, after he was hospitalised following a “partial paralysis in the face.” He shared an Instagram video on April 15, while lying in a hospital bed, to address his followers.

“I can’t even laugh right, bro…Oh my god. So… oh my god, bro. So… yeah,” he added in the video. He sounded jovial in the video as he panned the camera and made other related comments. The exact cause of his condition was not explicitly stated.

“We’re normal over here, we get crazy over here! Stop being sad…Imma look funny for a lil bit but that’s it,” he stated in another video.

In January last year, Lil Nas X released the single J Christ, which attracted mixed reactions. Before this, he released the Days Before Dreamboy EP and other related works.

The production delved into his breakthrough into the mainstream as a pop star. It also highlighted the moment he revealed his sexuality, as a gay rapper, to his fans online.

Controversially, he responded to critics who called his desire to perform Christian music a gimmick on X, but did not back down from the fight. He went ahead to share his acceptance letter to Liberty University’s Biblical Studies programme.

“Y’all see everything I do as a gimmick. When in reality I’m just an artist expressing myself in different ways…Whether I’m a cowboy, gay, satanic, or now christian y’all find a problem! Y’all don’t police nobody else art like mine. Y’all hate me because I’m fun cute and petite…” he tweeted at the time.
