Legendary artist Lauryn Hill is set to hit the road again with her iconic group, The Fugees, and her son, YG Marley.
Announced on Instagram, Hill unveiled the ‘The Celebration Continues Tour,’ an extension of last year’s celebration marking the 25th anniversary of her acclaimed album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
The tour starts on August 9 in Tampa, Florida, and spans 22 dates across the United States. It will then venture to Europe in October, concluding in Amsterdam.
Tickets for the tour go on pre-sale starting Wednesday, June 26 at 10 a.m., with general admission available from Friday, June 28 simultaneously.
Fans at this year’s Coachella festival got a sneak peek of what to expect. Hill surprised the crowd during the first weekend by joining YG Marley’s set and bringing out fellow Fugees member Wyclef Jean. About 15 minutes into her son’s performance, Hill took the stage, delivering a series of her solo hits before diving into some classic Fugees tracks with Jean.
The setlist included fan favorites such as Ex-Factor, Lost Ones, Killing Me Softly, Ready or Not, and Fu-Gee-La, with YG Marley stepping in for Pras on Ready or Not. The surprise continued as Busta Rhymes and Spliff Star joined them on stage, making the performance an unforgettable experience.
In addition to her touring news, Hill’s groundbreaking album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was recently inducted into the 2024 Grammy Hall of Fame. This recognition places Hill’s work alongside other influential albums like De La Soul’s 3 Feet High and Rising.
