Canadian rapper Drake has been accused of inappropriate behavior with a minor. The accusation comes from Kendrick Lamar, who launched several diss tracks against Drake over the weekend.
The evidence supporting Lamar’s claim is a video from a 2010 concert where Drake is seen dancing with a fan on stage. After learning that she was 17, Drake commented on her appearance. This video has been circulating widely amid the ongoing rap feud.
The woman in the video, Tia Owens, now 31, addressed the issue on her Instagram Story on Monday, May 6. She clarified that she was 17 at the concert, which she attended with her father. She also stated that it was Drake’s entourage, not Drake himself, who selected her from the crowd to go on stage.
Owens dismissed the incident as a common occurrence at concerts and denied any inappropriate behavior on the rapper’s part.
Drake responded to the allegations in his latest track, The Heart Part 6, released last week. In the song, he denies Lamar’s accusations of being a predator and hiding a daughter from the public. He asserts that he has never been involved with anyone underage and expresses his disgust at the accusations. He also challenges Lamar to stick to facts in their ongoing feud.
He further addressed Lamar on Instagram, hinting at an upcoming release from Lamar and challenging him to address the issues at hand instead of resorting to personal attacks.
This feud between Drake and Lamar has escalated with the release of Lamar’s diss tracks “Not Like Us” and “Meet the Grahams,” which were in response to Drake’s “Family Matters.”
