Florida-based rapper Kodak Black, also known as Bill Kapri, has won a significant legal victory. His drug case, which had been looming over him since his arrest in December, has been completely dismissed.

Kodak was initially arrested for cocaine possession, tampering with physical evidence, and a parking violation.

However, the drug possession charge was dropped earlier this year when lab tests revealed that the substance in question was not cocaine, but oxycodone, a drug for which Kodak had a valid prescription.

This week, a judge dismissed the remaining witness tampering charge, effectively closing the case. Kodak Black’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating that the court recognized the valid arguments to dismiss the last count of this wrongful arrest.

He also expressed happiness at seeing Kodak continue succeeding in the entertainment world and his philanthropic ventures.

The only offense remaining from the arrest is a traffic citation. Kodak was released from jail in February after the drug possession charges were dropped. However, shortly after his release, he found himself in a confrontation with local media. A video captured by WPLG Local 10 showed the 26-year-old hurling rocks at the broadcaster’s photographer and threatening to assault a reporter.

Despite the negative press, Kodak’s attorney defended his client and criticized the media’s coverage of the controversial rap star. He lamented the fact that mainstream media often focuses on negativity.

In a separate post, Cohen highlighted Kodak’s philanthropic efforts. He mentioned that Kodak had pledged to donate to the college fund of two young children whose father, a Minnesota officer, was recently killed in the line of duty.

Kodak, who recently stated that he was the happiest he had ever been after overcoming his drug addictions, continues to make headlines, not just for his music but also for his personal life and philanthropic efforts.
