According to Kodak, the images were taken at the request of celebrity dentist Saif Shere, also known as “Bollywood.” The rapper expressed frustration over the narrative, stating that he felt disrespected by both Shere and the blogs amplifying the story.
Kodak explained that while he respects the Muslim community, he remains committed to his identity as a Hebrew Israelite. The movement, which claims African Americans are descendants of ancient Israelites, is significant in his personal beliefs.

In a video shared on social media, Kodak addressed the situation in detail. He clarified that his actions in the photo did not indicate religious conversion but rather a moment of respect during a visit. He also criticized the way fans and media outlets used the images to create what he described as a misleading narrative.
This isn’t the first time Kodak has dealt with public scrutiny. In a recent Instagram Live session, he predicted that he might face widespread criticism within the hip-hop community, similar to what Drake experienced during his feud with Kendrick Lamar.
Despite these challenges, Kodak said he remains unfazed, expressing confidence in his journey and his impact on the industry.
