King Harris, son of musician T.I., has been arrested for failing to appear in court for a traffic violation.

Reports indicate that the rapper, born Clifford “King” Joseph Harris III, was moving out of a gas station in a BMW but nearly hit an officer’s vehicle, which prompted the officer to pull him over.

The officer was said to have smelled marijuana and also noticed a gun on his hip. Further checks by the officer indicated that King had a warrant for his arrest in another county for failing to appear in court over a previous vehicle violation.

Two other persons who were in the vehicle with King were also charged with possessing small ounces of marijuana.

In August 2022, King was charged with “speeding, knowingly driving a motor vehicle on a suspended license and driving under the influence of drugs.”

T.I. is said to have disciplined his son on many occasions and even chastised King in a social media video for waving a gun during a music video shoot.

The young man is also said to have had physical altercations with his parents in the past.

King’s father and mother have not made comments about their son’s recent arrest.

In September, Rapper T.I. said his son was expecting a baby boy soon, adding that King Harris was elated about the upcoming child and his fatherhood journey.

T.I. said he could not wait to see his grandchild put his son through “the hell” he experienced raising King.

“I told him ima make this the greatest gangsta of all time…I will raise this child to torture you the way you tortured me. There will be an indictment in this young one,” he stated jokingly.

Expressing excitement, King Harris also stated that he was expecting to gather some parenting lessons as he prepared to raise his first child.
