Jake Porter, the father of the late Kim Porter and Combs’ former partner, told Rolling Stone on Friday, June 7, that he was ”disgusted” by the recently surfaced video showing the 54-year-old music tycoon shoving, kicking, and grabbing Cassie during a 2016 hotel hallway video.

Jake, 78, noted: “You can say I was disgusted with the video, and I wouldn’t treat my enemy like that. It was despicable. I couldn’t believe it. I was in Vietnam, and I wouldn’t do that to my enemy.”

In addition, Jake stated to Rolling Stone that even though he never witnessed Combs physically mistreat his late daughter, it made him wonder.

Kim had a sporadic relationship with Combs from 1994 until 2007, the year of her lobar pneumonia death in 2018.

The couple welcomed their son Christian Combs in 1998 and their twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James Combs in 2006.

Kim’s father went on to say that he now has a “different outlook” on his daughter’s ex-partner as a result of watching the “horrible” footage.

“I had no idea he could go so low. It must have shocked a lot of people. That’s not even how I would handle a dog. My thoughts are with Cassie.”

Jake also revealed that although Kim “just couldn’t live with” Combs in the same house, she still loved him.

Jake Porter remarked, “I think he was a very jealous person. The two of them were in love. Kim’s love was legitimate. I’m not sure what Puffy considers to be love, but you get what I mean? I genuinely believe he has no concept of what love is. The children are my concern,” Jake stated to Rolling Stone.

The founder of Bad Boy Records apologized on Instagram after the 2016 hotel security video was made public saying he was “disgusted” by what he had done.

Jake’s remarks came just days after Combs’ honorary degree from Howard University was revoked earlier this month.

In an announcement posted on the university’s website, it was said that the Board of Trustees “voted unanimously today to accept the return by Mr. Sean Combs of the honorary degree conferred upon him in 2014.”

The institution stated that the judgment “revokes all honors and privileges associated with the degree.”

“Mr. Combs’ behavior as captured in a recently released video is so fundamentally incompatible with Howard University’s core values and beliefs that he is deemed no longer worthy to hold the institution’s highest honor,” the college stated.
