It appears that Kevin Hart’s club days are behind him, based on a widely circulated viral video after being seen on camera appearing bored at the club close to Latto and Usher.
“It was nothing personal”, he recently disclosed.
Hart stated in an interview with Complex’s Jaelani Turner-Williams that the picture “captured a real moment and a real face.”
Kevin added that he “was ready to go home.”
“That moment was a real moment. Both of them are amazing people. Usher’s a really close friend of mine, and he told me we were going to a little lounge atmosphere, which is my vibe. I don’t mind,” he recalled.
“But we ended up being at what I would consider to be a club. So what you saw was just somebody who has the days of nightlife and partying at that scale, and I was ready to go home. My fear is just looking like the old guy in the club. I never want people to look up and [and people] go, ‘Why is he here?’ To me, that’s aggressive. ‘Oh God, you see Kevin over there in the corner? Why is he here? It’s 21.00 or 22.00 at night. Why did he come?’ Bumping into my kids’ friends from school—that’s just aggressive. I don’t need those problems. I’ll take my ass home and be happy.”
He went on to say, “I know all you 20-somethings can’t wait to get out and party the weekend away. But at some point, you’ll grow tired of all the club life trappings and long for quiet nights at home with your favorite takeout and comfortable clothes. When those days come, the last thing you want to deal with is noisy clubs, overpriced drinks, and obnoxious people. I don’t need those problems. I’ll take my ass home and be happy. We’ve all been in Hart’s shoes, where you’re stuck at a party and all you want to do is go home. Frankly, most of us are lucky that we don’t have cameras keeping track of our movements. By the way, be glad you’re not a woman who has to deal with a packed club that only has two bathroom stalls. That will definitely put a sour look on your face,” Hart concluded.
