Comedian Kevin Hart has been announced as the host of the 25th Anniversary edition of the 2025 BET Awards. He has since accepted the offer and expressed readiness to deliver to the satisfaction of audiences.
“I love a celebration! It’s a chance to reflect, cherish, and honor life’s unforgettable moments…I’m truly honored to host the 25th BET Awards and celebrate the culture’s biggest night.

“This year marks the 25th anniversary, and my partners at Hartbeat, BET, and JCE are pulling out all the stops to make it a night to remember,” the top actor said in a release.
The show is scheduled to air on June 9, 2025. Organisers also released a video teasing what viewers should expect from the Think Like A Man actor.

BET described Kevin Hart as “a powerhouse of an entertainer” and was thus considered a “dynamic” host for the Silver Jubilee edition of the show.
Hart “promises to deliver the ultimate show-stopping performances, powerful moments, and heartfelt tributes reflecting Black culture’s depth and richness over the last quarter century,” per a press release.

“…Kevin’s unmatched charisma, comedic brilliance, and deep-rooted connection to our culture make him the perfect choice to commemorate this milestone event,” A BET representative was quoted.
“For over a decade, Kevin Hart has been a beloved part of the BET family, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him return to host the 25th anniversary BET Awards,” Scott Mills, President and CEO of BET, added.

Hart hosted the 2011 BET Awards and won the Best Actor BET Award in 2012 for his role in Think Like a Man. In 2013, he served as an executive producer and starred in the show Real Husbands of Hollywood.
In January this year, Kevin announced he was taking over as Chief Executive Officer of his company, Hartbeat Productions, following the exit of some company executives and staff.

He stated at the time that he would combine the day-to-day administration of the company with his other hustles.
Hartbeat Production was formed in 2022 after the merger with another company, Hart’s Lough Out Loud (LOL) network, which focused on the development of online streaming content.
