Despite making history with his Super Bowl Halftime Show, it seems not everyone is thrilled by Kendrick Lamar’s performance.

One such person is Kevin Durant, who wasn’t too enthralled with Lamar’s headlining of the Halftime Show.

The basketballer made this revelation when he was asked about Lamar’s performance.

The Phoenix Suns star called the day “boring” and said it was of little interest to him.

It meant nothing to me,” he told reporter Dana Scott.

“No thoughts; I didn’t really pay attention to it, to be honest. It was a little boring day for a Super Bowl. The game got out of hand. The Super Bowl Halftime Show, I didn’t pay attention to it. I kinda skimmed through the whole thing, to be honest”.

To many people, Durant’s comments are not surprising because he is a diehard Washington Commanders fan who lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship and is also a Drake supporter.

Therefore, the Eagles winning the Super Bowl championship and a Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl LIX halftime show, wasn’t exactly going to appeal to his interest anyway.

Kevin has been a close ally with Drake for years now and has even earned an A&R credit on Drizzy’s 2023 For All the Dogs album and also spent some time with him in Toronto over the summer.

The Suns star has previously detailed his A&R role with Drake, stating:

“Whenever Drake just wants to talk about life, I’m there for him, and he just gave me that title.”
