Rapper Kanye West has settled a complaint of battery filed against him by a photographer, who claimed he had been humiliated over the singer’s autograph.

The top performer reportedly had a “turbulent” time relating to paparazzis as he tried to adapt to becoming a famous personality at the early stages of his music career.

In one of the instances in January 2022, an autograph dealer is said to have waited outside a Los Angeles warehouse, expecting the singer to emerge so he could get a signature.

However, the complainant, Justin Poplawski, later alleged that Kanye exited the warehouse, hurled profane language, and threatened him to leave.

The photographer alleged that he asked the See Me Now artist to apologize. Still, he refused, leaving him “confused,” as he [Justin] has always gotten autographs from the musician on previous occasions.

For this reason, Justin reportedly sued Kanye. He alleged that he was left with medical bills and emotional trauma as a result of that encounter.

However, both parties have now agreed to settle their differences amicably. The settlement amount was not disclosed.

Before the resolution, Kanye maintained that he had done no wrong but only acted to protect himself. His lawyers, at the time, also defended the performer’s actions.

Early this month, A Louisville woman named Ricki Smith, 28, who is now facing charges after allegedly attempting to steal a car with a child inside, said he was acting on the orders of Kanye West.

The events reportedly unfolded on the morning of August 30th in Evansville, Illinois, on North Main Street, where Smith was seen trying to get into multiple vehicles.

Authorities stated that Smith eventually focused her efforts on a specific car, which had a child inside while the mother was in a nearby store. When the car’s owner noticed the intrusion, she acted swiftly.

Police intervened and questioned Smith about her actions, and in a twist that raised eyebrows, Smith reportedly told officers that she was acting on orders from Kanye West, claiming he had “telegraphically” communicated with her to carry out the theft.

The suspect’s explanation sounded outlandish, and she is now facing charges of attempted kidnapping and attempted auto theft.
