Kanye West has taken a fresh shot at Drake on a new track from his upcoming album WW3, ending what seemed like a short-lived truce between the two rappers.
During a livestream from Japan, producer Digital Nas played a snippet of the track Heil Hitler while hanging out with West. The song includes several offensive lyrics and appears to take a direct jab at Drake, using slurs and comparisons that many online have called out as hateful and unnecessary.
The track also features West repeatedly saying the phrase Heil Hitler and making disturbing references to Nazis and his own controversial social media posts. Fans and critics have slammed the song as offensive and dangerous.
WW3 will also include other controversial titles like Free Diddy, Virgil Let Me Down, Cosby, Nitrous, and Hitler Ye and Jesus. West’s only guest on the album is Dave Blunts, an artist he recently called his favourite rapper.
The album was first scheduled for release on April 3, but there is no confirmed date yet.
West and Drake have had a rocky history. They worked together early in their careers on songs like Forever, but their relationship has mostly been marked by rivalry. In 2021, they came together for a joint performance, which led many to believe they had settled their differences.
In recent months, West even praised Drake online and admitted that past jealousy had clouded his judgment. He expressed respect for Drake’s talent and influence, and fans hoped the feud had ended.
