Rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West wants to sell his $57 million Malibu beachfront mansion.
According to TMZ, Kanye has put the ill-fated property on the market for $53 million after extensive renovations left the home stripped to a shell.
Bought in 2021 for $57 million, the 4,000-square-foot house is located on Broad Beach Road. West embarked on an ambitious redesign led by Pritzker Prize-winning Japanese architect, Tadao Ando.
Kanye West faces possible suit but realtor sees opportunity
However, West, the 13th most streamed artist on Spotify, now faces legal action from the project manager overseeing the renovation, who claims the rapper insisted on removing essential systems like plumbing and electricity without approval.
With the interiors bare to the studs, celebrity realtor Jason Oppenheim has taken on the unique listing, pitching the home as a “rare opportunity” for buyers to take over the restoration.
“The interior finishes have been removed, and this creates an unbelievably rare opportunity to buy a Picasso on the water with the ability to restore it to your own specific standards, with modern technology and excellence,” te realtor is quoted as saying.

Despite needing full reconstruction, the property’s ultra-prime beachfront location in Malibu’s coveted billionaire enclave could still fetch interest from wealthy buyers looking for a blank canvas.
The embattled remodel stands as the latest in West’s string of real estate ventures gone awry, including his $57 million Malibu escape.

Kanye West settles lawsuit by former worker
Earlier, Kanye West seemed to have reached a settlement in a case that had been going on for a long time.
According to a recent court document circulating online, West and Taliah Leslie, a former employee of Yeezy, came to an understanding to resolve their legal dispute. Nevertheless, the settlement’s specifics have not been made public.
Leslie accused West and executives at his fashion brand in 2021 of allegedly breaking California labor laws regarding employee benefits and classification.
