Renowned rapper and music producer, Kanye West is not pleased with the management team of fellow rapper Ice Spice. His displeasure stems from what he describes as the team’s interference in a collaboration between him and the lady rapper.

Kanye West claims Ice Spice recorded a verse for his track New Body. However, the verse has not yet been released due to interference from her team.

West, also known as Ye, alleged this in a post on his Instagram Story. The post, which has since been deleted, read:

“Ice Spice sent a verse in for New Body now her team is saying we can’t use it.”

This claim was made in response to a leaked text exchange between Kanye West and his former team member, YesJulz, real name Julianne Goddard. The texts discussed sending the song to both Ice Spice and Doja Cat to determine who would be the best fit for the track.

Originally created in 2018, featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, New Body, was intended to be part of West’s Yandhi album, which was ultimately scrapped.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign had plans to release the song on Vultures 1 earlier this year, but Minaj denied permission, stating that “that train has left the station.”

Nicki Minaj’s decision to deny permission to release the song New Body was influenced by a shift in Kanye West’s musical direction.

According to Minaj, West wanted to transform the song into a gospel track to fit his Jesus Is King album. However, Minaj and West weren’t “seeing eye to eye” on this transformation.

The reason behind YesJulz’s decision to leak the texts remains unclear. However, it seems to be a response to a lawsuit filed by West following her abrupt departure from his team.

Kanye West barred from performing in Brazil

Meanwhile, Kanye West’s request to perform free for fans in Brazil has been firmly denied by the country’s government.

The rapper, planning a world tour with stops in Australia and Middle East, has found promoters reluctant to engage.

Kanye West had set his sights on Brazil, hoping to perform for free on Rio De Janeiro’s Copacabana beach. This would have been a recreation of Rolling Stones’s 2006 performance at the beach.

However, Brazilian authorities have rejected Kanye’s application for a concert. The reason given was his “controversial” image and recent antisemitic comments.
