Kanye West has apologised to Jay-Z, following his unruly comments concerning his fellow musician and Beyoncé’s children.
West had made a series of social media posts referring, among other things, to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children as “retarded.” His apology was contained in a recent post on X (Twitter) but did not come without other unprintable words targeted at other people.

He wrote: “I’m sorry Jay Z… I be feeling bad about my tweet but I still feel I gave my life to this industry and thought so many people were my family but when I needed family on some real shit none of these rap n****s had my back.”
Beyoncé and Jay-Z did not make any public comments after Kanye disrespected them and their children, but reports indicated that the couple was considering legal action at the time.

“…the couple found the remarks shocking and they will not stand for the ‘vulgar and offensive remarks,” was quoted. Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, also criticized Kanye for denigrating the celebrity couple.
It is, however, not clear how Beyoncé and Jay-Z would respond, following the Vulture composer’s recent show of remorse.

In March, Kanye West was reportedly sued by German singer-songwriter, Alice Merton, who said one of her songs had been sampled on rapper’s Vultures 2 album without permission.
The singer-songwriter said Kanye sampled her 2022 song Blindside without permission while recording Gun To My Head, which featured Kid Cudi on the compilation.

According to the suit, Merton stated that she became aware of the sampling after the rapper previewed the track at a listening party in December 2023.
She noted that Kanye did not ask for permission ahead of the recording and only reached out for clearance in February 2024. Merton said her publishers declined the request at the time because Kanye’s “values” were contrary to theirs.
They added that Merton was a descendant of Holocaust survivors and did not want to be associated with Kanye, who had made hate speeches against minority groups.
The complainants said the song did not feature on the initial tracklist for Vultures 2 but appeared on the album’s digital deluxe edition.
