Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have sparked excitement among fans by announcing a new concert in Taiwan.
The announcement hints that their much-delayed collaborative album, Vultures 2, may finally be on the horizon.
Ty Dolla $ign revealed the news on Instagram, stating that the duo will deliver a “Vultures listening experience” in Taiwan on August 25.
Although details regarding the venue and tickets have not yet been disclosed, the announcement has reignited hope for the long-anticipated album.
Earlier this year, the pair performed tracks from their first project, Vultures 1, but Ty Dolla $ign’s cryptic caption “V2” suggests that the Taiwan show might feature their new material.
The news has generated enthusiasm among fans, with social media buzzing about finally hearing “Vultures 2.”
Fellow rapper Denzel Curry expressed his excitement in the comments, amplifying the anticipation for the album’s release.
This Taiwan performance follows a similar listening experience announced for South Korea on August 23. These international shows come after a planned mini-tour of U.S. cities for Vultures 1 was abruptly canceled due to “time constraints.” A unique concert at the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Egypt was postponed, with no new date set.
The delays and cancellations have not dampened fans’ enthusiasm, especially with the persistent promise of “Vultures 2.” Kanye West, who has faced numerous controversies and claimed to blacklist by major U.S. venues, continues to push forward with his musical endeavours. The rapper has not performed in the U.S. for over a year, citing difficulty securing venues.
Despite these challenges, Ty Dolla $ign has remained optimistic about the album’s release. He has repeatedly assured fans that “Vultures 2” is nearing completion, with all songs ready and the project ready to release soon. Instead of traditional streaming platforms, the album will be available exclusively on Kanye’s YZY app, adding to its release’s unique anticipation.
“Vultures 2” has faced numerous delays, missing its initial release date of March 8 and subsequently rescheduled for May 3. Yet, the consistent updates from Ty Dolla $ ign have kept hope alive. The upcoming concerts in Taiwan and South Korea offer a glimmer of hope that fans might finally experience the new music they have eagerly awaited.
