Justin Timberlake will appear in court on July 26, 2024, after he was arrested Tuesday in New York for drunk driving. The Mirrors hitmaker was charged and released on bail by law enforcement officers within his jurisdiction.

He was reportedly arrested after midnight when police pulled him over in a grey BMW for driving through a stop sign and failing to stay on the right side of the road.

His eyes were “bloodshot and glassy and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath”, officers said in a charge document.

Timberlake’s lawyer, however, said he will “vigorously defend “his client. The singer was said to be driving in Sag Harbor, an affluent village and a popular summer destination for celebrities.

Justine Timberlake has been on “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour” since April 29, 2024, adding new destinations to his itinerary.

The tour was initially scheduled to end on July 9, 2024, in Lexington but has been extended to September 6, 2024, in Lyon, France. It has been Justin’s first trip in five years.

The musical expedition followed the release of his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was which arrived on Friday, March 15, 2024.

Justine Timberlake described the album as a “takeover” in a post on X (Twitter), with his fans welcoming him “officially” to the music scene.

“I’ve been playing the album on repeat at work today, it’s so good; I can’t get enough of it! Please come to Minnesota, I want to see you live,” one of his followers wrote on X (formally Twitter).

The 8-track album has songs like Memphis, Fuckin’ Up the Dico, No Agels, Play, Infinity Sex, Love & War, Imagination, What Lovers Do, Selfish and others. It also features Afrobeats talent, Fireboy DML, on the song titled Liar.

The 42-year-old described the album as one of his “best works” had stated that the album originally had 100 songs before he managed to trim it down to 18.
