Following his ban from metro Atlanta for ten (10) years, Young Thug has just secured a little more freedom in his probation terms.
The update comes as a Fulton County Superior Court judge officially cleared the rapper to travel through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, granting a significant change to the original conditions that banned him from metro Atlanta for the next decade.
According to court records obtained by 11 Alive, Judge Paige Whitaker approved the request submitted by Young Thug’s attorneys, Brian Steel and Keith Adams.

The modification allows him to use the Atlanta airport for “commercial air travel for business and other lawful purposes,” with the green light for travel starting as early as Tuesday.

This marks another shift in the conditions of Young Thug’s probation following his plea deal last October in the highly publicized YSL RICO case.
The “Wyclef Jean” rapper, born Jeffery Williams, took a guilty plea to some charges in exchange for probation with strict stipulations—most notably, a 10-year ban from the city and surrounding areas.
However, Judge Whitaker showed some flexibility in December, adjusting the order to allow Young Thug to visit his home in Atlanta under specific conditions.
If he avoids probation violations for the first three years—through October 31, 2027—he’ll be permitted to return for up to two weeks at a time, four times a year, with proper notification to his probation officer.

In other news, following his release from prison where he spent two years, the rapper was subject to a lengthy and chaotic RICO trial and eventually accepted a plea deal.
Per the deal, he must abide by various release conditions, including not communicating with any alleged gang members or YSL affiliates except his brother and Gunna.
Earlier, the rapper’s sister, Dora Williams, took to X to provide his supporters with an update on what he’s been working on. According to her, he’s taking some time to recover mentally from his legal battle and other personal struggles before releasing anything.
