After going through some difficult circumstances in recent years, including losing big movie projects and having his agency fire him, Jonathan Majors is finally speaking up

The Kang The Conqueror actor described the precise moment he learned he was fired from the international franchise in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Jonathan Majors recalls the moment he was told the news just when he left a highly publicised trial in lower Manhattan.

According to him, this is how the news was delivered to him:

“I’m just going to tell you now,’” “That way you’re not surprised, and you can start processing it. They fired you. Marvel fired you.”

The terrible news was delivered to him in the car after a jury found him guilty in December 2023 of one count of misdemeanour third-degree assault and one count of second-degree harassment of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

He later got sentenced to probation and a 52-week domestic violence intervention program.

During the days after his trial, the Creed III star said he was having a difficult time grasping the reality of the situation.

“There were days when it was like, ‘Is this real?’ It’s a heartbreak like I’ve never experienced, and it just compounded and compounded,” he said.

He also spoke about the abuse he endured as a child.

“I dealt with sexual abuse from both men and women from the time I was 9,” Majors told the outlet. From people who are supposed to look after you, in the absence of a father. I was f**ked up.”

Majors is said to have told his mother about the abuse recently, and she apologised about “not being able to protect him.”

Meanwhile, Jonathan says he’s ready to grow from the situation, using his trauma to look deeper within himself.

“I’m like, ‘It’s not even an issue, Mom. I just want you to know. And now we can all get busy and continue to connect and grow and learn from it, because it’s something that was in our family. There are no excuses, but by getting help, you begin to understand things about yourself.”
