Dressed in a sleek all-black look, the 38-year-old singer-songwriter arrived at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, ready to perform the National Anthem before kickoff.

Clad in a classic black Paul Smith suit, shirt, and tie, Jon Batiste settled in at a vibrant, multi-colored piano. He accessorized his understated look with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including two striking brooches on his lapel: a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Bird on a Rock brooch featuring a diamond exceeding 12 carats, and another, also a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Bird on a Rock, showcasing a citrine over 60 carats.
He also sported a Lock bangle completely paved with diamonds and a T-T1 ring in white gold featuring baguette and pavé diamonds.

Before his performance, Batiste revealed his strategy for a Timeless Super Bowl National Anthem Performance in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on January 24th, 2025, and his desire to create a rendition of the National Anthem that will be remembered for years to come.
Batiste explained that his arrangement for the National Anthem won’t be finalized until the week leading up to Super Bowl LIX, emphasizing that the creative process will continue right up until the performance itself. “And then it’s going to fly.”

He also expressed his enthusiasm for crafting an arrangement that will resonate for years to come, stating, “I’m excited to figure out an arrangement that lasts the test of time, and I look forward to sharing it.”
Jon Batiste got married to the love of his life, Suleika Jaouad, in February 2022 after 2 years of dating.

Suleika Jaouad revealed in a December 2024 Instagram post that she is facing her third cancer diagnosis, explaining that her health has been “in flux.”
Jaouad shared that after feeling healthier than ever, she learned her leukemia had returned. This required her to begin a demanding monthly chemotherapy regimen. She expressed gratitude for her father taking on the role of caregiver, noting that she cherishes their time together.
She expressed immense gratitude for her husband, Jon Batiste, writing, “And then there’s my greatest joy—my husband, @jonbatiste, who’s been by my side at every turn on the roller coaster. I didn’t know love like this was possible. He makes everything better.”

Jon Batiste and Suleika Jaouad, winners of both Best Music Film and Best Song Written for Visual Media for their documentary American Symphony, were absent from the 2025 Grammy Awards ceremony. They instead celebrated their double win from home.
In a joint Instagram post celebrating their award, the couple wrote, “On this lazy Sunday, life is good!” They captioned a photo of themselves together. “We’re so honored to win the Grammy for Best Music Film and also for Song Written for Visual Media too!. We couldn’t make it to the ceremony, but we’re beaming love from our couch to yours and sending gratitude to all who made this film possible.”
