Joe Biden’s social media team has taken advantage of the recent rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar and released a diss track directed at Donald Trump.
The strange video, which was shared on X and TikTok, used Kendrick Lamar’s popular Drake diss tune Euphoria, in which he criticizes the Canadian rapper for being a “pathetic master manipulator,” among other things.
Before the song was added to streaming platforms, Lamar abruptly published it on YouTube, where it instantly went viral.
Social media users embraced the idea of using a specific song’s segment to write about things they detest with great speed, especially on TikTok.
The lyrics are: “It’s always been about love and hate; now let me say I’m the biggest hater. I hate the way that you walk and the way that you talk. I hate the way that you dress. I hate the way that you sneak away. If I catch a flight, it’s going to be direct.”
Joe Biden’s Campaign camp pounced on this opportunity to connect with youthful voters while aiming at Trump.
A sequence of ugly images of Trump appear on screen while the ubiquitous TikTok audio from Euphoria is used in the video that was uploaded to their social media sites of Biden’s campaign.
Every picture had a caption that listed one thing people detested about the former president, such as his appearance or his “sneak disses” on social media.
The captions read: “I hate the way you walk over women’s rights and the way you talk about immigrants. I hate the way that you dress. I hate the way that you sneak diss on Truth Social.”
Interestingly, Donald Trump’s camp responded with their version of the video.
That being said, Kendrick and Drake have been at odds for some weeks, and their new diss tracks have only served to fuel the flames.
The Genius website allegedly crashed when Euphoria was released because fans were rushing to read and understand the lyrics.
Since then, another five diss tracks have been made available: three by Lamar (6:16 in LA, Meet the Grahams, and Not Like U) and two by Drake (Family Matters and The Heart Part 6).
