American rappers Jay-Z and J. Cole have been rated highly by South African rapper Nasty C. For him, the two are the only rappers across the world who are at his level when it comes to rap.

The Durban-born lyricist confidently claimed his ability to face off with any rap artiste in South Africa and across the African continent while also singling out the American heavyweight as peers on his level.

Nasty C, whose real name is Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, is renowned for his impressive flow and impactful lyrics. He has gained immense success and respect within the hip-hop industry, not only in South Africa but also globally. However, he is not one to rest on his laurels and has set his sights on reaching even greater heights.

In a recent interview, Nasty C opened up about his perspective on competition in the rap scene. He made it clear that he was willing to go head-to-head with any rapper in South Africa and the larger African continent. He mentioned that his belief in his skills and abilities has propelled him to such confidence that he has no reservations about challenging anyone within these boundaries.

Nasty C added that what sets him apart from his peers is his determination to elevate South African and African hip-hop on a global scale.

Nasty C put himselfs in the league of Jay-Z and J Cole’s league

The rapper said he recognizes that his competition extends beyond national and continental borders as he has the ability to compete on that level. In this regard, he mentioned two esteemed American rappers, J. Cole and Jay-Z, as the artists he considers to be on par with him.

J. Cole and Jay-Z, both celebrated figures in the global hip-hop community, have had a significant impact on the industry and seem to have been a source of inspiration for Nasty C throughout his career. By identifying these artistes as his peers, Nasty C made clear his ambitions to compete at an international level, emphasizing his readiness to engage in the global rap arena.
