J. Cole has announced a new audio series, Inevitable, that will allow fans to explore the highs and lows of his life and career.
The Grammy-winning rapper shared the news alongside a trailer offering a glimpse into the reflective and personal project.
‘Inevitable’ is a 10-episode series hosted by Cole, his longtime manager Ibrahim Hamad, and filmmaker Scott Lazer. Together, they navigate the rapper’s journey from his humble beginnings as an aspiring artist to becoming one of hip-hop’s most respected figures. The series also features unreleased music, providing an even deeper connection to the stories being told.
Recorded over eight days, the project grew from a casual conversation sparked by Hamad discovering an old laptop filled with demos and forgotten tracks. That nostalgic trip down memory lane evolved into a raw and comprehensive recounting of Cole’s career, covering everything from music to relationships.
The series is described as an emotional and therapeutic journey for the rapper, revealing pivotal moments that shaped his artistry and personal growth. It delves into both the triumphs and challenges he has faced, offering listeners an unfiltered look at his evolution.
Season one of ‘Inevitable’ premieres on Monday, November 18, at 6 PM EST, and will be available through the series’ official website. Fans can access the episodes for a minimum payment of $10, with the option to contribute more.
This audio series arrives as J. Cole prepares to release his highly anticipated seventh album, ‘The Fall-Off.’ While a release date for the album is yet to be confirmed, Cole recently stated that the project is nearing completion.
