Rapper 6ix9ine, known for his controversial persona and chart-topping hits like “GUMMO,” is now a wanted man on an international scale.

On Thursday, August 29, Dominican Republic authorities escalated his legal troubles by issuing an international arrest warrant, marking a significant turn in his ongoing legal battles.

The Court of Appeals issued the warrant in the Judicial District of La Vega, accusing the rapper of being “in rebellion” since June. This international warrant seeks his immediate arrest in any country he is located if he does not surrender voluntarily. The legal action stems from an incident in October 2023, where 6ix9ine was allegedly involved in the assault of two producers. The producers’ legal team recently filed a motion urging the court to take action, leading to the issuance of this warrant.

6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, lived in the Dominican Republic until recently. His move out of the country appears to have triggered the court’s decision to escalate the case. If apprehended, he could return to the Dominican Republic to answer the charges.

IRS auctions 6ix9ine’s cars

This latest development adds to a string of legal issues the rapper has been entangled in over the past year. In April, the IRS raided his Florida home, seizing several luxury vehicles, including a 2019 Lamborghini Urus and a 2017 Bentley Continental GT Speed.

The government later auctioned these vehicles in July, with bids starting at $20,000. The auction was part of the IRS’s efforts to collect on a $10 million judgment against 6ix9ine, resulting from a civil case brought by dancer Alexis Salaberrios.

Salaberrios had previously won a $9.8 million settlement after 6ix9ine was found liable for assaulting her at a Miami strip club in 2021. Despite the court’s ruling, Salaberrios claimed the rapper had been hiding assets to avoid payment, leading to the seizure of his property.
