2024 must have been a good year for some established and emerging artistes, as they made progress in their careers and family life.
Some became first-time parents while others added to the numbers they already had. In this piece, we take a look at some celebrities who welcomed fresh babies in 2024.
Cardi B & Offset
These celebrity couples need no introduction. They welcomed their third child a little over a month after filing for divorce, celebrating the baby’s arrival on September 7.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, September 12, the Drip composer was seen in a colorful robe, smiling with her baby in her arms in a hospital bed.
Offset, whom she divorced in July, was seen cradling the baby in the post with the caption: “The prettiest lil thing 9/7/24.”

Before the delivery, Cardi B opened up to her fans on X (formerly Twitter) about an accident that led to her hospitalization and nearly caused her to lose her unborn baby.
She, however, did not reveal when the supposed incident occurred.
Stephen Curry & Ayesha Curry
Appearing on the cover of Sweet July magazine with her baby bump, Ayesha Curry revealed that she and the NBA star were expecting their fourth child.
Ayesha noted in the cover interview that she and Stephen decided to get pregnant after feeling like “somebody was missing” in their lives. The baby finally arrived on May 11.
“Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival! He’s doing great, and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful,” the couple wrote in an Instagram post on May 26.
The Curry nuclear family also includes older children Riley, Ryan, and Canon.
Wiz Khalifa & Aimee Aguilar
Aimee Aguilar shared the happy news about her and Wiz Khalifa’s first child, named Kaydence, in a TikTok video on Tuesday, July 23.
The couple had early on announced that they were expecting a girl in a Father’s Day post on Instagram. The child was born on July 17.
The model and online content creator discussed her childbirth experience, including undergoing stitches due to tearing during labor. She also highlighted her postpartum recovery journey.
Aguilar and Wiz Khalifa had reportedly been dating since 2019. Wiz Khalifa already has a name, Sebastian Taylor, with his ex, Amber Rose.
Justin Bieber & Hailey Bieber
Justin Bieber and his wife, Hailey Bieber, broke the news about their first child on August 23. Their son is called Jack Blues Bieber.
The partners were reportedly married in September 2018 at a New York City courthouse and followed it up with a star-studded wedding ceremony a year later.
In September 2023, when they celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary, Justin described his wife in an Instagram post as “the other half of his heart.”
Nelly & Ashanti
Their first child, Kareem, was born on July 18. The couple had reportedly kept their romance private until the newborn arrived.
Last month, a rumor started spreading that they were expecting a second child, but there was no confirmation from the couple, who have always kept their matters private.
Persons close to the family said the couple chose the name Kenkaide for their first child as a tribute to Ashanti’s father. Their son’s name, Kareem, is interpreted to mean “generous, kind, and dignified.”
