Fans of Halle Berry responded when the actress encouraged them to wear their “most distressed” wigs to theaters for the premiere of her new horror thriller Never Let Go.

The award-winning actress reportedly went viral when she turned up at the event in her own “distressed wig” in New York City, where the movie screening took place.

Never Let Go tells Berry’s story as she tries to protect her fraternal twin sons from a frightening force that appears to have “consumed their world.”

To survive the phenomenon, she stayed connected with her children at all times, urging each other to never let go and fall victim to the darkness in the woods. However, the ties between mother and children were cut when one of the boys asked if the evil was “even real.”

It was directed by filmmaker Alexandre Aja and featured a host of stars who also turned up at the premiere.

Early in September, Halle Berry, 58, spoke about her age, indicating that she was not bothered even if her beauty fades because there was more she has to offer than her physical appearance.

“I’ve always known that I’ve been more than this face and more than this body…So when that starts to go, maybe for the first time in my life, people will focus on the other aspects of me that I think are way more interesting,” the mother of two stated in an interview with Marie Claire publication.

“It might feel good to have everybody look at you, but it’s always been a hollow win for me because I had nothing to do with how I came here looking,” she added.

The award-winning performer has, over the years, been ranked as one of the most attractive on-screen personalities since she made her acting debut in the 90s. She has appeared in productions like Boomerang, X-Men, Monster’s Ball, and others and is noted for her radiant outlook and smile.
