Gilbert Arenas has claimed he overheard a conversation that alleged that Harvey Weinstein and other “White” Hollywood executives slept with actress Halle Berry just to get her cast in movies.
The internet is divided over a video that went viral from Arenas’ Twitch show, “No Chill with Gilbert Arenas.”
The former Washington Wizards player claims to have overheard a conversation between Halle Berry, one of Hollywood’s most well-known actresses, and convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein.
According to Arenas, “It was 2003 or 2004… Halle Berry was strolling by when I went to the playoff series, and I was like, ‘Oh shit, Halle Berry, bro.’ Fine.”
“Every single one of them hit,” Arenas said, glancing directly into the camera.
“No, not Halle,” I exclaimed. Not them, I repeat. Yuck,” he went on. “They got the berry, damn it.”
He said she was sitting near “four, five white dudes” and “Harvey Weinstein was one of them.” He claimed he was sitting close enough to hear the men’s conversation, and he heard someone say, “Oh, now she’s acting like she doesn’t know us? She wasn’t saying that when she needed that part.”
Following a conviction for charges in New York, the disgraced producer and director received a 23-year prison sentence after being given a 16-year sentence earlier this year for rape and sexual assault charges in Los Angeles after more victims came forward with accusations of assault during the trial. In addition, the 71-year-old is alleged to have prevented actresses and models from advancing in their careers by refusing to accept his advances.
That may be the case, based on the widely shared video of Gilbert Arenas citing Berry starring as the lead in the terrible drama “Monster’s Ball,” which was released in 2001 earning her an Oscar in 2002, making her the first and only black woman to win Best Actress as a case scenario.
Arenas also mentioned in passing the accusations and offenses of Weinstein and another well-known Hollywood mogul who was sentenced to prison after it was claimed that he had drugged and raped numerous women in the late 1980s.
According to Gilbert Arenas, Weinstein and Cosby were “ugly,” and they required power and influence to get women to sleep with them.
