Reports coming in show that Gabrielle Union liked tweets that appeared to attack Vivica A. Fox and Jonathan Majors.
This comes after Fox’s response to Taraji P. Henson’s comments on unfair pay scales in Hollywood.
In a conversation with TMZ, Fox had claimed she hadn’t experienced any of the problems that brought Henson to tears during an interview with Gayle King.
Union liked a post remarking, “She hasn’t experienced Taraji’s successes either. Next.”
Earlier reports show that Henson broke down as she spoke about plans to retire from acting, during an interview with King.
She admitted that she is tired of working so hard and being gracious at what she does, only to be paid a fraction of the cost. She added that she is also tired of hearing colleague actresses saying the same thing over and over again.
Henson went on to say that at a point even in the face of hard work and people continuously leaving the industry, bills come in and the maths doesn’t add up.
In other news, Henson reveals that she accidentally ignored Oprah’s calls after being cast in The Color Purple.
Henson played the character of Shug Avery in the musical adaptation of Alice Walker’s novel of the same name. Speaking with Essence, Henson explained she’ll “never forget” the day she learned she got the part.
She explained that she doesn’t answer calls from people she doesn’t know, and as such she failed to realize Oprah had called her from an unknown number.
It was not until Tyler Perry called her to answer her phone that she realized that she had been missing important calls.
Other stars in The Colour Purple include Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, H.E.R., Halle Bailey, Phylicia Pearl Mpasi, and Fantasia Barrino.
