The feud between Future and Drake has been reignited. The Atlanta rapper, Future, has released an original version of one of Drake’s songs on his new album with Metro Boomin, further fueling the speculation.
The album, titled “We Still Don’t Trust You,” is a follow-up to last month’s “We Don’t Trust You.” It arrived on Friday, April 12, and includes a track called “This Sunday.” Interestingly, this track features the same hook as Drake’s “Feel No Ways,” adding a twist to the tale.
Future is credited as a co-writer on the “Views” cut. However, it remains unclear whether the song originally belonged to him or if he created it as a reference track for his “What a Time To Be Alive” collaborator.
The song “This Sunday” had previously leaked in 2015, a year before “Views” was released. Its official release, almost a decade later, has led fans to believe that it is further proof of a rift between Future and Drake.
Drake and Future have a history of extensive collaboration. However, their relationship seems to have soured in recent months. Future after the release of his album Pluto, appeared to take shots at the Canadian rap star on “We Don’t Trust You.”
Drake has been on the receiving end of shade as Kendrick has also been direct about his issues with him, especially highlighted in his verse on “Like That” from the album “We Don’t Trust You”. The origins of their issues can be traced back to various events and tracks where both artists have seemingly taken jabs at each other.
