This year, fans have seen some shocking transformations in some of their favorite celebrities – whether it’s overcoming an unpredictable circumstance—such as facing sexual assault charges—being put in jail, or even converting to Christianity.

Given that these famous people overcame adversity and came out stronger on the other side, they surely deserve recognition for their turnaround in 2023.

Change is difficult, especially when one is in the spotlight. It can occasionally take a long time to get credit where credit is due, and altering public perception can frequently prove to be an even more difficult task than a personal transformation in and of itself. Nevertheless, despite their prior setbacks, these four celebrities seem to have the most amazing turnaround stories of 2023.

Angela White (Blac Chyna)

Formerly known as Blac Chyna, Angela White gained notoriety in the Miami strip club scene before becoming an overnight sensation on the internet as a video vixen. She eventually made a name for herself as a businesswoman and reality star, partly thanks to her well-publicized romance with Rob Kardashian and Tyga.

But this year, White decided to return to her natural appearance by drastically altering her looks and reversing some of her cosmetic procedures. The mother of two now places a high value on maintaining her physical well-being, emphasizing exercise, and commemorating turning one year sober making her story one of the many amazing turnaround stories of 2023.

Gunna

Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, known professionally as Gunna, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is signed to Young Thug’s YSL Records and 300 Entertainment. Gunna initially rose to fame with the mixtape Drip Season 3 in 2018. He got out of prison at the end of last year after he signed a plea deal on the day of his release, prompting countless fans and peers to speculate “snitching”. He has seemingly denied multiple times in his album A Gift & a Curse back in June, hinting that the rumors are false on various tracks.

The album has performed well and managed to earn him a nomination at the 2024 Grammys, hushing his critics. Not everyone is back on Gunna’s team these days, but in a genre where loyalty rules, his turnaround is impressive, to say the least.

B.G.

Christopher Noel Dorsey, better known by his stage name B.G., is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He began his music career by signing to Cash Money Records in 1993 at the age of 12. This year, B.G. became a free man after spending over a decade behind bars on gun and conspiracy charges. The 43-year-old hasn’t wasted any time since his release, reuniting with old friends and collaborators following his lengthy prison stay.

He’s already dropped projects with Boosie Badazz, Mike WiLL Made-It, and a host of others. While surely his turnaround hasn’t been easy, B.G. is focused on keeping on the straight and narrow path, ensuring that he does not return to the lifestyle that landed him in prison.

Chrisean Rock

This year, Chrisean Rock welcomed her first child, Chrisean Jr., with her ex, Blueface. While she continues to go back and forth with Blueface online and engage in some other questionable behavior now and then, there’s no doubt that there’s been a notable turnaround in the Baddies star’s lifestyle.

Chrisean seems to do her best to avoid the pitfalls she’s been victim to in the past, moving towards a more stable future for herself and her little one, but fans can agree that the addition of her son to her life has been overwhelmingly positive making Chrisean’s story one of many celebrity turnaround stories of 2023.
