Brooklyn drill pioneer Fivio Foreign, born Maxie Lee Ryles III, has been behind bars in New Jersey since January, facing charges of unlawful weapons possession, terroristic threats, and aggravated assault, according to TMZ.
The outlet reports that the rapper’s silence in recent months stems from his incarceration, with police alleging he pointed a gun at a woman and threatened her on New Year’s Day.
The incident reportedly unfolded in Edgewater, New Jersey, when a woman asked Fivio for help jumpstarting her car outside an apartment complex.

Per police reports obtained by TMZ, the Wetty rapper allegedly responded by aiming a firearm at her and warning, “If I see you parked in front of this building again there is going to be a f***king problem.”
Edgewater Police claim surveillance footage from the scene backs up the woman’s account, showing Fivio brandishing the weapon. Witnesses reportedly identified him immediately and called 911, leading to his arrest on January 18.
Court records reveal Fivio faces five charges tied to the encounter. However, his longtime attorney, Adam Lustberg, is pushing back hard against the allegations.

Lustberg told TMZ that no gun was ever recovered from his client and dismissed the case as “one of the weakest” he’s encountered in his 21 years of legal practice. He remains confident that Fivio will be released within the next couple of months.
Police, meanwhile, say the rapper provided his own statements to officers after the incident, though details of those remarks remain unclear.
