A recent public appearance by basketball legend Michael Jordan has caused some uneasiness among some of his fans who say he does not look fit.

The top player traveled to Monaco with his wife, Yvette Prieto, for the Monaco vs. Barcelona UEFA Champions League encounter on September. 19.

When photos of him appeared later on social media, some observers zoomed in to realize that his sclera (the white of the eyes) appeared discolored.

A fan wrote: “Mike doesn’t look the healthiest. He might have to lay off their cigars,” while others suggest he could be having jaundice — the medical condition that turns the skin, sclera, and other parts yellow.

Some people were quick to offer advice, urging him to stop smoking cigars and drink some water. Some of his former teammates had said Jordan loves to party and smoke cigars.

There had been similar health concerns about the celebrated basketball star at the premiere of Netflix’s “The Last Dance” docuseries in 2020.

Despite concerns about his well-being, Jordan is helping others receive medical treatment as he has teamed with Novant Health to open three clinics in his home state.

“Everyone is worthy of access to quality health care, no matter where you live or if you have insurance…I’m truly inspired by the many powerful stories of people who are now thriving thanks to the support of our Charlotte medical clinics,” he stated in a press release announcing the initiative.

Jordan is hailed by basketball enthusiasts as one of the greatest professional basketball players of all time. He previously married Juanita Vanoy in September 1989. They had three children but she reportedly received $168 million settlement after filing for divorce for the second time in 2006.

In April 2013, he married Cuban-American model, Yvette Prieto, with whom he shares 10-year-old twin daughters named, Victoria and Ysabel.
