In response to reports that her ex-boyfriend Common and Jennifer Hudson would get married, Tiffany Haddish has expressed her support for the relationship.
Speaking glowingly about his relationship with the 42-year-old singer in an interview with The Breakfast Club, Common, 52, claimed that she had helped him feel rooted in his Chicago heritage and grounded, which helped his music.
“To be honest with you, I love being at home, and being at home more when I have a lady from Chicago,” the rapper remarked.
“And I hadn’t done that in a while, where I was just going home and just being around my loved ones and didn’t have any work to do.”
He went on to say, “If I’m going to get married, it’s to her.”
The legendary lyricist’s remark quickly went viral, with various outlets picking up the news.

Fans on social media also shared their opinions with Common’s ex-girlfriend and star actress Tiffany Haddish also having a few words of her own.
However, social media users pointed out that Common had never publicly discussed marriage while discussing his prior relationships.
Tiffany, who dated Common from 2020 to 2021, was aware of her ex’s remarks in the interview that Hudson would surely be the bride if he ever decided to get married.
Rather than being outraged or irritated by Common’s passion for Hudson, Tiffany chose to offer her support for the new power couple, whom she says hopes to see jump the broom one day.
“EXACTLY! I hope they actually get married,” the 44-year-old wrote in response to the previous commenter, quelling any sense of competition or drama from her end.
Common, who seems to be totally committed to his current partner, has only positive things to say about Haddish, with whom he acknowledges that he fell in love during their time together.
However, her actions led to some fun, including calling Tiffany’s comments weird.
