Country music Icon, Dolly Parton, will visit Wales, United Kingdom, perhaps for the first time, after she has been able to trace her ancestry to that country.

Reports indicate the travel will include her recording a special TV show that will air next year. It is unclear what channels the show will be aired on and the exact topic it intends to highlight.

A niece of the Coat of Many Colours singer, recently disclosed that Dolly Parton had traced her ancestry to the Welsh valleys and will be visiting the country. The award-winning singer was born in Tennessee and had also previously told her fans about her link to Wales.

“Some of my mother’s people, the Owens, are from there (Wales)… “I’ve been there about three times and it always feels good because it feels like family,” reported stated in an online interview.

Though other details of the trip have not yet been made public, fans will keep their fingers crossed to see what comes up next. Dolly Parton is hailed for her exceptional talent and soulful music.

It will be recalled that she was one of the personalities who commended Beyonce following the release of the song Texas Hold ‘Em early in February.

Dolly Parton again expressed excitement about Beyonce’s 2024 album, saying she was a huge fan of the Irreplaceable singer who also decided to introduce a rendition of Dolly Parton’s recording on the new album.

“I’m a big fan of Beyonce and very excited that she’s done a country album…Can’t wait to hear the full album!” Dolly Parton wrote on her social media in February.

While attending to other interests in the country music space, Dolly Parton also paid tribute to her fellow composer, Toby Keith, who reportedly died of stomach cancer on February 5, 2024.

“It’s always hard when we lose our brothers and sisters in country music. Toby Keith was the greatest in every way. He will be missed but his music and legacy will leave on,” she wrote in an X (Twitter) post in February.
