All is set for Céline Dion’s new documentary, which will go live on Prime Video on June 25, 2024, the official project partners of the singer have announced.

I Am: Céline Dion would be available to global viewers and promise a “raw and honest” look at the superstar’s battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.

It would “highlight the music that has guided [Céline Dion’s] life while also showcasing the resilience of the human spirit,” a statement from Amazon MGM Studios said. The film is directed by Academy Award nominee Irene Taylor.

An image of the film with Céline Dion raising a fist was posted on social media early this week. The production is nearly a month after the “My Heart Will Go On” singer spoke about her diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome, which is said to affect one in a million people.

It will be recalled that in December 2022, the ‘I’m Alive’ hitmaker revealed that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological illness. She said the journey from discovering the condition to learning how to live with and manage it had been challenging, but it would not “define” her.

“…As the road to resuming my performing career continues, I have realized how much I have missed, being able to see my fans. During this absence, I decided I wanted to document this part of my life, to try to raise awareness of this little-known condition, to help others who share this diagnosis,” she stated.

The singer again spoke about how the condition affected “every aspect” of her daily life, causing difficulties and not allowing her vocal cords to sing like they used to. She cancelled all concerts as a result of the condition.

Celine Dion, however, appeared at the 2024 Grammys to present an award to Taylor Swift. Despite the diagnosis, she was able to make an acting debut in the 2023 movie ‘Love Again,’ and recorded the film’s soundtrack, which reached No. 71 on Top Album Sales and No. 20 on US Soundtrack Albums.
