Rapper DJ Khaled, and a host of others, have been honored in Miami-Dade County with some major streets in the area named after them.
Officials of the City had announced that they were going to implement the decision in order to “encourage economic development.” It had since named some streets along 18th Avenue in Liberty City after the area’s famous rappers.

“If you play this music to the people who are from this area, they are going to light up like it’s the Fourth of July…The essence of this is to… let people know that this exists in Miami-Dade County and you should come and see it,” Commissioner Keon Hardemon was quoted.
The renamed streets, according to officials, will honor 29 influential artists who helped shape Miami’s rich musical landscape.

Apart from Khaled, other names include Trick Daddy, Flo Rida, and Trina, who have been awarded their own streets for putting Miami on the map in hip-hop.
In addition to the top names in hip-hop, other R&B and Soul legends have also been honored according to sources.

In February this year, DJ Khaled announced a collaboration with Drake, Jay-Z, and Rihanna in a cinematic album trailer for Aalam of God.
The trailer was designed to be akin to one of the more recent Fast & Furious movies, with stunts and chase scenes.

Prior to this, 50 Cent and his long-time antagonist, DJ Khaled, reportedly settled their differences after they both attended a public event in Florida.
Both artistes, were spotted at the Reggie Jackson’s Mr. October Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Judging from a video shared on Instagram, fans believed the hip-hop stars had ended their long-held beef. The event was sponsored by 50 Cent’s Sire Spirits brand.
The video posted on social media on January 15 showed 50 Cent meeting various guests, including DJ Khaled, who was quoted saying, “Nothing but love and respect,” as they both hugged and grabbed each other’s hands.

According to sources, the beef between the two top talents began around 2005, when the rap group G-Unit was on bad terms with Fat Joe.
