In a sudden and significant twist to his recent legal troubles, federal agents have raided the properties of music mogul Diddy.
A report by TMZ has indicated that the raids, which took place on Monday, March 25, targeted Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles, with helicopters patrolling the airspace above the latter location.
“Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available,” the report quoted an HSI representative as saying.
FOX11 also shared a video that appeared to show several individuals handcuffed on Diddy’s property in Southern California, though their identities and potential involvement in the case remain unclear at this time. It is uncertain whether Diddy was present during the raids but it appeared his sons, Justin and King Combs were among those rounded up.
Why are Diddy’s houses being raided by federal agents?
The raids are reportedly being overseen by the Southern District of New York and are believed to be connected to the multiple allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct recently brought against the 54-year-old mogul.
According to FOX11’s reporter on the grounds, Hailey Winslow, information she gathered from law enforcement sources indicates that the raid was about sex trafficking.
