The children of the late Kim Porter have publicly rejected a controversial book, Kim’s Lost Words, which claims to reveal intimate details about her relationship with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Christian, Jessie, D’Lila, and their half-brother Quincy released a joint statement on Tuesday, September 24, condemning the book as false and deeply hurtful.
In their Instagram post, the siblings expressed their dismay at the rumors surrounding their parents, emphasizing that the claims in the book do not reflect the truth.
They unequivocally stated that Porter never wrote a book, refuting any claims to the contrary. The family also dismissed any purported friends speaking on behalf of their late mother, warning that these individuals did not have her best interests in mind.
The family’s message was both a defense of their mother’s legacy and a plea for respect during their ongoing grieving process. They described their loss as life-altering, sharing how the untimely death of Porter in 2018 has shattered their lives.
While the cause of her death has been widely reported as pneumonia, the book’s release has reignited conspiracy theories that the children firmly reject. The siblings urged the public to stop entertaining these unsubstantiated rumors, which they believe disrespect their mother’s memory.
They concluded their statement with a touching tribute, urging people to remember Porter for the loving, strong, and beautiful woman she was, rather than tarnishing her image with “horrific conspiracy theories.” They asked for peace as they continue to navigate their grief, hoping to preserve their mother’s legacy with dignity.
The book in question, published under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood, includes unverified and salacious claims about Combs’ personal life, including allegations of relationships with male pop stars and rappers, along with other lurid accusations. Even the book’s publisher, Chris Todd, has admitted uncertainty about its authenticity, stating that he does not know for sure if it’s real but still decided to publish it.
