Thalia Graves, a woman who has filed a lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his former bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, has landed in trouble.
Graves is now facing serious allegations of attempting to bribe her ex-boyfriend to support her claims against the music mogul.
She had alleged that to have been raped by Diddy in 2001 while dating one of his employees. The accusation drew widespread attention, but the new developments have raised questions about her motives.
According to TMZ, text messages from November 2023 between Graves and her ex-boyfriend have surfaced. In these messages, Graves allegedly mentions her plan to sue Diddy, stating that he ‘has the money.’ She reportedly asked her ex-boyfriend to back up her story by claiming to have seen a video of the alleged assault. She even asked him what he would think of a $3 million offer, suggesting a bribe in exchange for his cooperation.
The ex-boyfriend, who reportedly shared these messages with TMZ, interpreted the offer as an attempt to manipulate him and blocked Graves’ phone number and her social media accounts. These developments could undermine Graves’ credibility as the lawsuit progresses, adding complexity to a high-profile case.
Diddy’s legal team has also obtained the text messages, reinforcing their stance that Graves’ claims are financially motivated. Graves’ attorney responded to these allegations by emphasizing that it is not uncommon for powerful men and their supporters to try to discredit accusers. He stated that Graves remains focused on her day in court, where she can present her case.
Joseph Sherman, also named in Graves’ lawsuit, has vehemently denied the accusations. In an emotional interview, Sherman stated that he was not involved or even present at the time of the alleged incident. He suggested that Graves and others attempted a ‘money grab’ by targeting a high-profile figure, Diddy.
