Afrobeats star Davido has hinted that his fifth studio album will be available sometime soon. The title of the album has not been disclosed, but it is said to be 100% complete.

Sources close to the singer say the album consists of 15 tracks and features at least six guest artistes. Followers of the singer have since insinuated that the singer was working ahead of himself following his ‘disappointment’ at the 66th Grammy Awards.

Davido’s Timeless album was nominated for the awards, but he was unable to grab any of the golden gramophones at the ceremony, which came off early in February 2024.

That notwithstanding, he may have put a lot more effort into his upcoming album with the intent that it will help him win a Grammy in the next cycle of awards.

The Na Money crooner recently featured on Kizz Daniel’s Twe Twe remix but has yet to give his fans any special treat in the form of a new single for 2024.

His previous four albums came with 17 tracks each, with several singles, including Unavailable becoming chart-toppers in his home country and beyond.

Philanthropic Davido was in the news last month when he announced the donation of a significant sum of money to orphanages in Nigeria.

Three hundred million (300 million) Naira, equivalent to USD $197,000 was disbursed to the identified orphanages in his home country. He posted details of the disbursement with many fans congratulating him for his compassion and support for the needy.

Before the donation, he announced an investment in a new social media platform called ‘Chatter’ in the United States. The platform aims to provide users with an enhanced audio-visual experience, in addition to its creator tools and monetization options.
