Dame Dash’s feud with a few prominent figures in the industry has garnered media attention recently. His recent tirade has been directed at rap star, Kanye West and Dash dug up the Praise God hitmaker’s medical history with bipolar disorder.
After being hospitalized in 2016 for bipolar disorder, Kanye has been open about his condition.
Even though Kanye West was informed in 2022 that individuals suffering from bipolar disorder are expressing their disapproval of him being their poster child.
During a wave of divisive, racist remarks by West, threats against Jewish individuals on X (Twitter) were made, followed by an apology.
However, businesses associated with the artiste including Adidas, Balenciaga, and Gap came to an end. Ye’s actions also led several people to attribute his offensive remarks to this medical condition.
“We are horrible people to say someone has a mental problem and we watch what they do and criticize them for it,” said Katt Williams in his now-viral interview when asked about Kanye.
Dame Dash, who recently weighed in on one of Kanye’s controversial remarks during his appearance on Willie D Live, seemed to agree that the rapper’s bipolar disorder played a role in his controversial remarks.
He talked about Ye’s 2018 visit to TMZ headquarters, where he said that slavery “sounds like a choice” contending that Ye was just “triggered.”
Dash stated, “Now you know that man is bipolar. Knowing he’s triggered, why would you bring him to TMZ and question him? He has bipolar disorder.” Dame Dash continued, speculating that Ye’s assertion might not have been understood.
“Slavery is indeed a choice today, but it was not a choice in the past. I don’t think he meant it back then, but it’s a choice for us to believe that there are masters now,” Dame clarified.
“Has anybody ever dealt with somebody with that bipolar?” he asked.
“Putting someone in front of cameras is the one thing you do not do when they are agitated. Money is the most dangerous thing for someone with bipolar disorder. Being bipolar and a billionaire both mean that people are still interested in what you have to say,” Dash noted.
