US rapper DaBaby has publicly called on Megan Thee Stallion to reconsider her recent musical choices, urging the Houston rapper to stop working with what he considers “lame” artists and return to creating hits with him.
The North Carolina rapper made the bold request during a recent clip from his upcoming interview on Drink Champs, where he expressed his desire to reignite their once-successful collaboration streak.
“I got love for Meg,” DaBaby said, referencing their past work together and Megan’s rise in the music industry despite facing numerous personal challenges, including the highly publicized 2020 shooting incident involving Tory Lanez.
He acknowledged Megan’s resilience but clarified that their musical chemistry could take her career to even greater heights.
DaBaby proposed a potential collaboration featuring fellow rapper GloRilla, stating that such a track would be a powerful way to mark their return as a duo. He suggested that no other artists can capture the same energy he and Megan create together. He concluded his message with a playful invitation for her to “come home” musically, implying that working with other artists wasn’t doing her talent justice.
The two rappers previously released a string of hit songs together between 2019 and 2020, including the wildly popular “Cry Baby” and the platinum-certified “Cash Shit.” Their successful collaborations propelled both their careers, but their professional relationship took a complicated turn in recent years.
