Chris Brown faces new allegations of sexual assault in a soon-to-be-released documentary titled Chris Brown: A History of Violence.
The film, which explores claims of past violent behavior, is stirring significant attention following a statement from an anonymous woman who alleges she was assaulted by Brown on music mogul Diddy’s yacht in 2020.
The woman, who speaks anonymously under the pseudonym Jane Doe, recounts her encounter with Brown in the documentary, reportedly detailing a disturbing night that began with an invitation to the yacht during a trip to Miami. She explains that Brown handed her a drink and, shortly after, she began feeling disoriented. According to Doe, her memory of the evening becomes fragmented after this moment, and she soon found herself unable to move as Brown led her to a private bedroom. Despite her protests, she alleges, he continued his actions, leaving her, as she describes, “disgusted.”
Doe shares her reason for coming forward, citing a desire to bring awareness to the incident. She also revealed that the decision has not come without personal consequences, including threats to her safety. In a statement, she addresses the challenges victims face when speaking out, especially when accused of seeking attention or lying about powerful figures.
The documentary also includes the testimony of Liziane Gutierrez, a Brazilian model who previously accused Brown of attacking her in 2016. Gutierrez explains her decision to participate in the documentary, despite the legal and emotional ramifications. In a social media post promoting her appearance, she writes that she wanted to share her story despite the risk of public backlash and even legal consequences, having reportedly signed a non-disclosure agreement at the time of the incident.
Gutierrez’s account echoes Doe’s. She mentions hearing similar accusations from other women and criticizes fans’ tendency to dismiss claims of abuse against celebrities. She urges viewers to approach the film with an open mind, underscoring the importance of believing victims over public personalities with large followings.
With multiple women alleging mistreatment and violence, the documentary promises a closer examination of Brown’s past behavior, inviting viewers to reflect on how society often treats accusations against high-profile figures. The film is set to air on October 27th.
