Chlöe Bailey is a self-proclaimed Kendrick Lamar superfan, and her admiration for the rapper is stronger than ever after his latest album, GNX.
During an Instagram Live session, the singer shared her excitement about the album, revealing that she’s been listening to it non-stop since it dropped.
Bailey explained that her love for Lamar is not recent, as she’s been a loyal fan for years. Recalling her early days of fandom, she admitted to having a serious crush on the Compton rapper, even once believing that they might end up together.
She reminisced about her obsession with his 2011 Section.80 album and earlier mixtapes, noting that she’s been a fan since Lamar went by the name K. Dot.
“I could not just hop on the Kendrick train now. I’ve been a diehard Kendrick fan from day one,” she said.
Her deep appreciation for Lamar’s artistry was evident as she spoke about the album, which has quickly become a favorite of many, including herself.
But there’s even more to look forward to from the rapper. Gunplay, who worked with Lamar on GNX, recently teased that Kendrick plans to release a deluxe album version.
During a conversation with Bootleg Kev, Gunplay revealed that Lamar still has unreleased tracks in the pipeline and is set to release additional material soon.
The West Coast rapper explained that Kendrick has been keeping things under wraps, even sharing how the collaboration came about after signing an NDA. Gunplay also hinted that there’s more to Kendrick’s creative journey that fans haven’t yet seen.
