Rapper Sada Baby was taken into custody after a traffic stop that revealed more than a simple traffic infraction.

When Sterling Heights police pulled the rapper over in January, they found out he had outstanding warrants after running his license plates.

A warrant request was made in October 2023 after Sada, whose real name is Casada Sorrell, was “charged in June 2023 with driving while unlicensed for three years,” according to Fox 2 Detroit.

He was taken into custody for the outstanding warrant after police verified that the driver was Sorrell.

Police claimed that he was also in possession of “possible illegal contraband” during the previously described stop.

He was taken into custody in Shelby Township on Tuesday, April 8, after the substance’s test findings verified that it was opioids.

Since then, he has been detained at Michigan’s Macomb County Jail on a felony charge of possessing a controlled narcotic in a quantity under 25 grams.

However, Sada Baby went viral following an incredible mugshot from the booking procedure. The picture shows Sada wearing an orange jail uniform, and his attitude is one of wide eyes and a rigid smile.

The mugshot quickly became the talk on X, with an X user writing,

“Sada’s mugshot just sent me to Mars; I’m crying laughing,” and another added, “LMFAO, Sada Baby’s mugshot is frying me. Wtf is wrong with him?” The movie went viral on the internet very soon.

Unfortunately, the arrest occurred just before the March 28 release of his most recent production, Bridge Kard Blessings.

The 14-track album featured guest appearances by JMSN, Skilla Baby, and Lakeyah.

The Detroit native wrote, “This tape means more than just the normal getting a chance to put some music out,” indicating that the record marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career.

Below is what some X users are saying about the mugshot.
