Cardi B and Elon Musk clashed over Cardi’s public support for Kamala Harris. Musk, a vocal supporter of Donald Trump and heavy Republican donor, criticized the Grammy-winning rapper after she appeared at a Harris rally in Milwaukee.

Elon Musk’s comments came after Cardi B’s speech faced a brief stumble when a teleprompter malfunction left her waiting for backup, prompting Musk to call her a ‘puppet’ who, in his words, couldn’t speak authentically without scripted support.

However, Cardi B wasted no time responding to Musk’s jab, firmly rejecting his claim and defending her advocacy for issues that impact marginalized communities.

She highlighted her lived experience, emphasizing her background as a first-generation American raised in poverty and shaped by the struggles of immigrant parents.

She explained that her upbringing and challenges are central to her understanding of the hardships facing millions across the country. She sharply contested Musk’s suggestion that she lacked authenticity, pointing to her history of speaking on these issues long before her rise to fame.

Cardi B also took to social media to confront rumors that her appearance with Harris was financially motivated, stating that her involvement was driven by a genuine commitment to change rather than any monetary incentive.

As someone vocal about systemic inequalities, Cardi clarified that her support for Harris aligns with her desire to uplift her community and address policies that disadvantage working-class Americans.

During her Milwaukee speech, Cardi aimed at Donald Trump, criticizing his approach to women’s rights and calling out his business dealings, which she argued have consistently profited off ordinary Americans. She warned her audience that the former president’s policies reflect a broader agenda she believes would harm both financial and personal freedoms in the long run.
