Cardi B has once again taken conservative political commentator Candace Owens on over her remarks regarding the recent tragic death of Sonya Massey.
Massey, a 36-year-old Black woman from Springfield, Illinois, was shot and killed by an Illinois sheriff’s deputy at her home on July 6 after calling the police for help.
During a recent episode of her show, Owens addressed the shooting, dismissing it as a mistake by the police and condemning those who suggest it was racially motivated.

Owens argued that police officers are human and make mistakes, asserting that it is absurd to claim the incident happened because of Massey’s race.
Cardi B, known for her outspoken nature, responded passionately during a conversation with fans on Twitter Spaces. She expressed deep frustration with Owens’ comments, emphasizing the lack of empathy shown for Massey’s tragic death.

Cardi B and Candace Owens have a history of public confrontations dating back to 2020. Their feud reignited in 2022 when Owens, during an interview, criticized Cardi for her perceived lack of political knowledge and her frequent typographical errors. Owens described Cardi as uneducated and claimed she did not understand basic political structures.
In response to Owens’ disparaging comments, Offset’s former partner took to social media to defend herself. She revealed that Owens’ legal team had demanded a public apology and a $75,000 payment, threatening legal action if she did not comply. Cardi dismissed these demands, highlighting Owens’ own lack of legal understanding.
Several public clashes have marked the animosity between Cardi B and Candace Owens. One notable incident involved a heated dispute over Cardi’s hit song “WAP,” where Owens criticized the explicit content. Additionally, Owens had previously referred to Cardi as an “illiterate person” during an appearance on The Ben Shapiro Show.
