Cardi B has a medical emergency that would not allow her to perform at the ONE Musicfest, scheduled to take place in Atlanta this weekend.
The rapper announced her decision to pull the brakes in a social media post early this week and apologized to her fans.
“I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days, and I won’t be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” she wrote.
“It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend, and I really wish I could be there. Bardi Gang – thank you for understanding, and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t worry. Love yall,” she added.
Cardi was expected to light up the two-day event on Saturday and Sunday, in addition to other guests like Victoria Monét, Gunna, Glorilla, Jill Scott, Nelly, and others.
The announcement comes weeks after the top talent welcomed the third child of her estranged partner, Offset. Last week, the Drip composer stated that she was co-parenting the newborn with Offset.
In the conversation on X (formally Twitter), the songstress said, among other things, that she was enjoying a single life but wanted to balance her work life with her friendship with offset.
The ex-lovers recently celebrated the arrival of the baby with some adorable pictures online. Cardi B delivered the baby on Saturday, September 7, but broke the news to her fans about a week later.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, September 12, she was seen in a colorful robe, smiling with her baby in her arms in a hospital bed.
Her husband Offset, whom she divorced in July, was also seen cradling the baby in the post with the caption, “The prettiest lil thing 9/7/24.” Cardi B already has a son Wave, 3, and a daughter Kulture, 6, with Offset, 32.
Early in August, Cardi told her followers that she was expecting her third baby, a day after she filed for divorce from Offset after six years of marriage.
