Although Candace Owens is known for being quick to criticize those who oppose her, the conflict between her and T.I. isn’t a new thing.
Given that T.I. is back in Owens’ hot seat, it appears their over-six-year beef is rekindled.
This started when the two participated in a contentious panel at the 2019 REVOLT Summit.
According to Owens, there was more to the tale of what happened on the REVOLT stage.
Regarding T.I., Owens stated, “The entire thing is an act.” It seems that long before they took the stage, the two had “whole conversations” about politics.

Owens said in those private discussions, she realized T.I. was “basically conservative.”
“Kanye put me in touch with T.I. We talked about stuff,” Owens recalled.
Despite their differences—Owens is a MAGA supporter, and T.I. openly condemns President Donald Trump.
She said they came to an understanding… but everything changed once they were in front of an audience.
But Candace claims that as soon as they were in front of cameras, T.I. turned.
Owens said to Lee about the 2019 interaction video that went viral.
“It was a performance.” The disagreement about the true meaning of the MAGA phrase caused the conversation to get heated.
T.I. asked Owens, “Which period was America great that we’re trying to replicate?”
The rapper went on to ask Candace
“When you say ‘Make America Great Again,’ which period are we talking about? The period where women couldn’t vote… where we were hanging from trees… the crack era,
Owens was clearly outnumbered and barely able to get a full rebuttal in, but that didn’t stop folks online from dragging her for filth.
It’s the year 2025, but it seems Owens is still upset about how things went down. “He is literally just a whole op,” she went on to tell Lee. “I have no respect for him.”

T.I. wouldn’t be the first person Owens has called out over their political views. But unlike many of them, TIP is known for using his massive dictionary to clap back when necessary. So far, no response from him.
