An Investigation is underway for the alleged misconduct of Marquise White, a black teacher who gained popularity recently for allowing his female pupils to take out his braids in class.
After sharing a TikTok video of several of his female pupils helping him take off his braids, the science teacher received a lot of backlash.
Marquise White believed that he was the object of so many insults because he is attractive, and that this has led to the public’s outrage.
There have been a lot of discussions about whether or not the widely shared TikTok video was inappropriate.
To be clear for readers, he acknowledged that the situation people saw was “unprofessional.”
He also stated that the principal and the parents of the pupils had no problems with his TikTok videos.
White also posted a video of a middle school teacher making a semi-long TikTok content which he thought should have caused the same outrage on social media.
The first video he posted was of a white male teacher with female students bedazzling his bald head while he was speaking.
He then called out another anonymous individual, a woman who tweeted a picture of her buttocks along with the question, “Y’all think my 10th graders are looking at me?”
White questioned why they weren’t subjected to the same persecution as he was in these two instances.
“I firmly believe that I was attacked, and let me add this in here, mainly attacked by my own community,” he wrote in his post.
“For the most part, my own community was the one attacking me. Anyway, I genuinely think that my being a young, attractive black man is the reason I was attacked. Anyone who saw this video and thought anything strange or suggestive was drawn to me,” he said in continuation.
Even though word quickly circulated that he had been fired from his teaching profession, he refuted the rumors and claimed to be employed at the Maya Angelou French Immersion School in Hillcrest Heights.
He is said to have been “reassigned out of the classroom pending the investigation’s outcome.”
